Erin, also known as 3RINS, is an emerging South Asian abstract painter based in Vancouver, Canada. She explores profound themes of self, soul, the universe, and everything in between. Her abstract works—rich in texture and vibrant hues—serve as windows into the inner and outer journey of the human experience. Through her art, she explores her curiosity and insights about existence and universal wisdom. Each piece is a conversation with the unknown, an expression of the soul connection through colour and texture.
Erin’s art practice continually evolves through mixing different mediums and techniques. As a professional photographer, she delves into a deeper understanding of human experiences, life, and the natural beauty of the earth's colours, enriching her painting practice with fresh perspectives. Her diverse educational background includes a Baking & Pastry Arts Diploma from The Art Institute of Vancouver, a Digital Photography Diploma from Van Arts of Media, and a Certificate from the Chocolate Academy Montreal.
Rooted in the understanding that our inner child reveals profound wisdom, Erin approaches her work with a sense of wonder as she engages deeply with life's questions. Through her art, she aims to create a space where viewers can connect with their true selves, inviting them to pause, feel, and just be.
STATEMENT:
I explore so I can create, but I also create to explore.
From a young age, I’ve been drawn to the act of creation and expression. Whether it was drawing on walls or chopping off my hair. I feel emotions through colours and also see people as shapes. I paint because words are too small to justify what I see, feel, hear and taste.
My abstract paintings reflect my inner child and the wisdom that emerges during the creative process. Each brushstroke captures significant moments of my life, allowing me to express my spiritual and physical experiences on the canvas. I believe there is depth in every moment, and through my art, I strive to share that perspective with others.
